THE PROCESS

Our controlled environment fosters optimal conditions for mosquito breeding and larval development.

01 -  Laying

The optimal growth condition produce healthier, more robust males which prove so effective at their mission that we only need to disperse them once a week, while all other SIT attempts require double that.

02 - Larvae

AI and classical image processing are used to sort of hundreds of mosquitoes per second, the fastest sorting technology for live adult mosquitoes available today.

03 - Separation

Sterilized mosquitoes are carefully packaged and prepared for release into the target area.

04 - Packaging

Males are exposed to controlled doses of radiation, rendering them sterile without affecting their mating behavior.

05 - Sterilization

Release cartridges filled with sterile males are packed together, ready to be shipped and released manually or by drone, ground vehicle or aircraft.

Senecio has developed patented, modular release systems for the efficient dispersal of sterile mosquitoes.

Mosquito Robotic Release

Our system employs cartridges that sequentially release mosquitoes through a gentle air current. The release mechanism synchronizes with cartridge movement to ensure a controlled and consistent dispersal.

The systems allow releasing anywhere from 20K mosquitoes per flight for small drones, through 200K with larger drones, to millions per trip with ground vehicles or aircrafts.
